“We have great sex, and he is always wanting more, but I don’t think he actually likes me.” Is Fake Love making you feel wounded? In today’s “breadcrumbing” world, a relationship is basically non-committal. When a life issue comes up, the relationship doesn’t have the grit to hold up…and “Thank you, Next” becomes your middle-name.
Pregnancy Resource Center Medical Clinic (PRC) often sees women who’ve been in these relationships, only to find themselves faced with an unplanned pregnancy or possible STD. Are you concerned about getting pregnant, or that you might have a sexually transmitted disease? Is the relationship causing more worry and doubts than bringing you harmony and happiness?
He has a job, has a good living situation, is handsome…but does he like you? Better question, does he LOVE you? Is your relationship founded and grounded by a long-term commitment? According to Pew Research Center, 59% of adults between the ages of 18 and 29 were married in 1960. Compare that to 2011, when only 20% of adults between 18 and 29, got married. Of that 20%, the majority of relationships lasted no more than two years. Are you willing to put yourself at risk?
WOMEN WANT LOVE & MEN WANT SEX
That was a popular thought for at least a few decades and may still be foundational, however we have refined our dating search through dating apps and other forms of social media. Today, just as in decades past, a solid, forever relationship is grounded in much more than mere allegiance to each other through sex and presumed love.
If you’re wanting more out of a relationship than sex, or if you’re hoping sex will grow your relationship, we invite you to come to PRC and meet with one of our client advocates to discuss healthy relationships and give you info on STDs and STIs.
Maybe you’re thinking you might be pregnant, and you’re not sure what to do. We’ll give you a pregnancy test, consultation, and if you have a positive test, we can provide an ultrasound.* It’s important to have an ultrasound to determine viability, and since 20% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage. Plus, you’re able to date your pregnancy, and see if you are carrying one or multiple babies. All our services are at no-cost to you (we are a non-profit, which means, someone else cares for you and has already paid for your visit).
